What is the Family Learning Network?
NACYS Family Learning Network (FLN) is a whole Family Skills Building Program that offers a range of supports and services to the whole family to ensure academic achievement of children.
For Children
NACYS Family Learning Network (FLN) is a whole Family intervention service designed for children (4 to 12 years old) and empower parents to be the primary prevention agents for their children.
For Adults
NACYS Family Learning Network (FLN) offers a range of crisis intervention, education, supports and pathway opportunities that assists Community Capacity Building (building strong, resilient individuals, families and communities).
Aims and Objectives of FLN
Engage with families where parents have a range of identified barriers and issues such as drug abuse, low literacy, unemployment, mental health issues and general health issues. All these contribute to children becoming disengaged from school and the community.
This project aims to build stronger family units through capacity and resilience development by using early intervention strategies which include counseling, family mediation, advocacy, referral, group work training and building family support networks and mentor development.
